Passionately Advocating For Injured Workers Across California
We Won’t Let Insurance Companies Take Advantage Of You
After representing employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation claims for several years, Attorney Justin Carter elected to resign his employment with a high-quality Roseville-based defense firm to open Carter Law Center. Now he exclusively represents injured workers in their workers’ compensation cases.
Preferring to represent injured workers rather than billion-dollar insurance companies was an easy choice. Generally, there is little satisfaction in saving huge corporate insurance companies thousands of dollars. However, helping (oftentimes frustrated and overwhelmed) injured workers navigate the workers’ compensation system and making sure they get the medical treatment and benefits they deserve is very satisfying.

Put Carter Law Center On Your Side Today
Justin’s background in representing the insurance companies makes him keenly aware of how the other side thinks. He understands what methods the insurance companies use to minimize their exposure on each claim. Specifically, he understands how and why insurance companies often attempt to avoid providing you with the proper medical treatment you need and avoid paying you the full benefits that you deserve.
Additionally, Carter Law Center‘s sole area of practice is representing injured workers. While many firms do handle some workers’ compensation cases, they also handle several other types of cases. While that is great for the firms from a financial standpoint, it might not be great for their clients given that the body of law in workers’ compensation changes constantly and it would be near impossible to keep up with those changes when you’re also concerned about other areas of law.
The workers’ compensation system is incredibly complex and nuanced – something very few people understand unless they’ve tried to handle their claims on their own. Most injured workers have no idea of (and how) they’re being taken advantage of until they become represented by an attorney. Further, most injured workers are not made fully aware of all of the benefits they’re entitled to.
We have a long record of success helping injured workers know their rights and get the workers’ comp benefits they need and deserve. See our client testimonials to learn more.

You Never Have To Pay Out-Of-Pocket Costs
You have nothing to lose by contacting Carter Law Center. We handle workers’ compensation cases on a contingency fee basis. That means there is no out-of-pocket cost to you. All you need to do is contact us so we can start fighting for the benefits you need and deserve. You will never pay a cent to Carter Law Center unless and until you recover money from the insurance company. A contingency agreement means that a percentage of the settlement or award is provided as attorney’s fees at the resolution of the case.
It’s generally found that 15% of the settlement amount or award is appropriate for attorney’s fees. In some instances, in extremely complex cases, fees might be approved at a slightly higher rate, and in some instances, in extremely basic cases, a slightly lower rate. But, as a general rule, you can expect to pay 15% of your settlement amount to your attorney.
It’s important to understand that a neutral workers’ compensation judge must approve all workers’ compensation settlements. Before a settlement becomes final, a judge must consider whether the settlement amount and the attorney fees are appropriate and adequate. This provides an extra layer of protection for injured workers at the resolution of their cases.
